I launched The Finishing Touch in April 2007 after attending a millinery course at the Wombourne School of Millinery. It was a fascinating time which gave me an insight into the skill and technique that is needed to create a delicate occasion hat.

The mobile business was launched first which allows the client to choose a suitable hat in the comfort of their own home. This service has been popular with clients who are unable to visit the showroom and are willing to pay a small travel fee. After a consultation with the client, a colour range is taken to their house to try on with various outfits. The chosen hat or fascinator is left with the client and a collection time is arranged for the following week.

Following demand from clients outside the mobile service radius, a showroom has been opened, where the hats and fascinators are displayed for viewing. A large room overlooking the village green provides a wonderful relaxed atmosphere to select a special hat or fascinator. Clients are encouraged to bring their outfit, along with shoes, bag and accessories to try on as many hats as they like. There is a large changing room and plenty of light to assist in choosing a hat or fascinator.

We have a good collection of styles in plenty of colours so you can be assured of creating the perfect match. If we don't manage to provide you with the exact match, it may be possible to order the style you require in the colour you require.

Advice on style and colour can be given and each hat can be adjusted to fit so you are confident to wear a stunning piece of headwear on your special day. Please feel free to bring friends and family to help assist in your choice. Small groups (up to 4) are also welcome to visit which can be a fun way to help each other choose.

Hire prices range from £15 up to £40 which allows you to wear a wonderful hat at a fraction of the cost to buy.
